What rights do you have when thinking about where to live?

You have sixteen rights under the Human Rights Act. The British Institute of Human Rights has made guides to all of your rights. Some of these rights are 

The Human Rights Act says you have rights which are important to know about when you are deciding where to live. These are:

  • The right to be safe from serious harm.
  • The right to a fair trial.
  • The right to private and family life, home and contact.
  • The right to enjoy things that belong to you.
  • The right not to be treated unfairly.
