Write to your MP

One of the first actions people suggested they might take when Good Lives was launched, was writing to their Member of Parliament (MP) so that people could share Good Lives with local and national politicians.

Many members spent June sending the Good Lives Manifesto to all their local political candidates asking them to pledge their support.

We now have a new government and can still use the Good Lives Manifesto to push them to take the action we want to see.

We are asking Members to write to your new MP asking them to support and take action on the asks we have created together.

Can you write to your MP?

There is a template letter for writing to your MP that can be downloaded here.

There’s also an Easy Read information pack to help you do this, that can found here.

Please let Learning Disability England know if you have told your MP about Good Lives by emailing info@LDEngland.org.uk or by filling in the Good Lives Manifesto Actions survey here.
